The ability to analyse vast quantities of data to extract relevant intelligence for commercial planning has become a highly sought after skill. By combining these two degrees, you’ll gain the leadership and solutions focused thinking of business and commerce backed by crucial skills in data science. You’ll graduate with the skills to analyse, manipulate, model and interpret large data sets using digital platforms and tools, including Python, Tableau, Hadoop and SQL, as well as the knowledge to apply these specialised skills to your business major to uncover patterns and generate valuable insights. You’ll also gain work experience through internships and guest lectures, field trips, case study analysis and policy analysis and development. You’ll also have the opportunity to gain experience through placements and exchanges. Plus, you’ll have access to BusinessPLUS and STEM Professionals, which offer tailored mentoring, networking and career mapping workshops for your areas of study.
